Please continue to pray for Owen and his family. Last I heard there had been no change in his condition.

Photographer Emily Weaver Brown and I had a chance to go down to Children's Hospital yesterday and take some photos of Owen. Head over to her blog and read about her day. Her words are so very true. Chuck and I have been to Children's Hosptial several times with Mordecai (just for doctor's visits) and every time we have been struck by how very blessed we are. You think you're having a bad day, until you head there, with your healthy child, and see sick, dying and suffering children. And then you realize how blessed you are and  how petty you've been.

I'll keep you updated on Owen's condition.

  1. How true, how true. It’s always good to step back once in a while and realize how lucky most of us really are. My youngest was in the NICU for 6 days after he was born. While we were very emotional about it his condition was not life threatening. We knew he would be OK. But, to see the other parents with new babies so sick was heartbreaking. It really helps to open your eyes to others suffering. Owen and his family are in my prayers.

  2. I’m so glad you got guys were able to do that for them. I cannot imagine the anguish the family is going through right now. I’ll continue to pray. Nothing is impossible with God.

yes children’s hospital and NICU is a good place to gain a perspective and to remember how precious each and every minute of every day is. make the most of today, love the LORD more today than you did yesterday.
Our church prayed last night for baby Owen and he has been added to everyone’s prayer list for the week. My heart breaks for his precious parents, Lord please comfort them like only You can. xo

Incomprehensible. Reminder that I don’t have any real problems if my family is safe and healthy. Praying for baby Owen and his family.
