Missoula Children's Theater Aladdin, my kids love being part of this amazing program.

Missoula Children’s Theater Aladdin

Posted on February 27, 2017February 26, 2018 by Renee

Lifelong dreams were fulfilled this weekend as Apollo got to be in his very first Missoula Children’s Theater production…Aladdin! He has grown up watching his siblings participate and this was a big deal. He had to audition and thankfully got a part (remember the year everyone but Tucker got a part?)

And the icing on the cake for Apollo? He was one of the lost penguins. It just so happens that penguins are Apollo’s favorite animal right now so it was absolutely perfect.

Tucker got a small part this year, but he rocked it! He had wonderful stage presence, even when he was just standing in the background. It is so great to see him do this. We can still see the remnants of his anxiety, but it is definitely in the background now. He loves school, loves performing and any extra activities he can be involved in.

I love seeing Avi throw her dramatic flair into something like this. That girl has skills, I’ll give her that!Missoula Children's Theater Aladdin, my kids love being part of this amazing program.

Apollo truly was a lost penguin. He had no idea what he was doing on stage, didn’t sing or follow along with the motions…and when it was over, he got lost and couldn’t find the dressing room to change.

But you know what? He had fun and was proud to be a part of things and sometimes that is more important than raw talent. This kid is a survivor and has made amazing strides forward. From afraid of the floor to performing in play!

Well, friends, these days life seems like it’s winning.

Here’s to more coffee and less snow.

(yes, it’s snowing again)
