Rocket Donuts is this really cool little retro-themed doughnut shop in our town. The walls are covered with old Sci-Fi posters. I’ve been planning to take Apollo there for a photo shoot since he was born.
It’s taken this long because I wanted him to be big enough to eat a doughnut…and by his first birthday, any eating brought on screaming and crying…by two he had his g-tube placed and barely ate at all. Now that he is eating a bit more by mouth I decided the time was right- especially with five of my little ones in school.
I have come to appreciate adventures spent with just my “big kids” and Apollo. Iris was at school and Judah was working, so it was a small crew I took.
Apollo selected a doughnut with pink frosting and sprinkles- which he of course just pretty much ended up scraping with his teeth. I don’t think he did any actual eating.

Enoch had no trouble eating his doughnut.
Oooh, look at the scary Space Children I found!
Spring has arrived in our little corner of the world and it fills my heart with *joy*.

Please post more about Kalina’s hearing! We are praying for her!
Ivory- I am working on a post about her hearing loss and plan to post it once I have photos of her with her hearing aid (it has been ordered and we are just waiting for it!) Thank you for your prayers!
what a fun place! We will be moving to a small town in June and I cannot wait to explore with the kids and find neat places like that. Happy Spring to you and your sweet family!
You were just down the road from my work! I’m so close and still haven’t been! Gonna have to walk down there on my lunch one of these days. I hear it’s totally worth it!
