I love pizza. I love olives. I love pizza and olives together and I love them apart. This is almost sounding like a Beatles song…Or a haiku..or something. Not all of my children share my love for olives and that’s okay, we’re all about diversity over here.
Olive tapenade dipped in Red Baron® Classic Crust Pepperoni Pizza. Hmmm…so good!
While I don’t enjoy cooking for the sake of cooking, I do enjoy good food. I have been on an olive tapenade kick lately, buying it in itty-bitty containers for a not-so-itty-bitty price. I looked at the ingredients and do you know what is in olive tapenade? Olives, olive oil, capers and garlic. Really, this stuff is so easy to make and you can do it in five minutes! And you know what is amazingly delicious? Dipping your Red Baron pizza with the perfect crunchy crust, into that olive tapenade. Seriously my friends, you have to try this!
We all know I’m not into sports, but I am into a good party (hey, we even had a Super Bowl Party last year!) While I love to dip my pizza in this tapenade, it is perfect for crackers, pita bread or chips. It would make a great dish to take along to a tailgating party (I like to store it in cute little mason jars). After trying this, Tilly said, “I don’t even like olives, but this is delicious” and then she ate her pizza dipped in tapenade.
I was able to pick up everything I needed (including Red Baron Pizza and Edwards Pie) at Walmart. I have no idea what capers are, but they are rich flavor to the tapenade. I was worried they wouldn’t have it al Walmart and I would have to make an extra stop, but no, it was there!
Oh, and while you’re in the frozen pizza aisle, you’ll probably want to grab an Edwards Pie, cause they’re delicious too. Just maybe skip the tapenade on this one!
