Enoch had Apollo laughing the other day. Apollo has laughed before (a time or two for me and several for my mom) but those were little baby laughs.
Enoch had him doing all out belly laughs…he sounded like "kid" not a baby. Notice the hands? When he gets too excited he has to shove them in his mouth. He's always done this, and its so stinkin' cute!
Hi Mom, are you taking pictures again?
Adalia tried to get some video on her ipod, but by the time she got it set up he was "over" with the laughing bit.
Since we're talking about Apollo, have I mentioned that the boy can propel himself forward? That's just wrong. Wrong. He's barely four months old! He lays on his tummy, lifts up his chest, and pushes his legs out straight. He knows this will move him. He's been known to scooch far enough to reach a nearby toy. The boy who refused to come out of the womb because he was so cozy and warm, now feels the need to become mobile?
Maybe all that time he was flipping, he was trying to get out, not stay in.

The belly laugh is the best sound your baby can offer you, isn’t it? I don’t get tired of hearing it. I noticed too that the best sources of belly laugh are the older siblings. My 9 month-old thinks there is nothing more hilarious than his older brother. But every time I pick up the phone to call grandmother and have her listen to that fun tumbeling sound, it stops, no matter how long it has been going for. (Mamie must think i’m crazy)
4 months and moving forward? Wow! Impressive, but that’s not quite something to wish for. My now nearly two year-old Korean-born son was walking proprerly by the time he was 9 months. And that, my friend, is a full time workout for mom!
BTW, your little Apollo has to be one of the cutest babies I’ve seen, by the way.
Josie- Yes, I wish hed be a bit more baby-like. But after his traumatic birth, I treasure every single day. The good and the bad.
Such a cutiepie! 🙂 And it’s always the siblings that can make them laugh, isn’t it? Moving at 4 months sounds just like my girls. My youngest rolled at 2 months and continue rolling (so it wasn’t a fluke), moved at 4m, crawled at 6m, and stood holding a laundry basket (on her own) at 6m 1w. She was fully walking by 9m. It made me jealous of people whose children chose to wait til 13m to try walking! Akkk!
Aw! Too cute.
I love how you cherish your youngest child. Thanks for loving all your children so much.
Adorable! What a little blessing….enjoy every moment as you know they grow up so fast.
We recently learned in some cultures it is tradition that the first person to make a baby laugh has to pay for a party for the baby. The party includes grandmas, grandpas, uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, priests, you get the idea. Watch out Enoch it could get spendy.
