This week has been an unusual week for us. Enoch and Kalina had a break from their twice a week math class (the teacher is on vacation!) There was no school for Veteran’s Day, so we went swimming….and now today school has been CANCELLED due to power outages from windstorms…and by some bit of providence, we still have power, so the kids just get a day off. A Monopoly game is being played (and arguing has already ensued) and Tilly is practicing on the piano before school (hers had not been cancelled). Me? I plan to get caught up on laundry (again), work on some photography projects and declutter.
Yesterday morning’s photo shoot left me and Kalina just minutes away from Devon’s workplace. It was fun to pop in and surprise her. She made me a breve and a hot chocolate for Kalina. She explained to her coworkers and that we were honorary family…which gave me the opportunity to say, “This is so much fun…I’ve never seen Devon work before!“
Oh, come on Devon, you know we love you.
You think my kids have it bad being on the blog so much? Devon once got recognized by a customer who asked, “Hey, are you the friend from the blog?” Poor girl….
I’ve been doing some product photography for a company I love, EverydayHappy. I have some amazing friends and clients who have agreed to model for me. After more product photos yesterday, I just had to sneak in a few pictures of this adorable family. I mean, really? Those big brown eyes and slightly drooly chin? Who could resist that face?

What are you up to on this fine day? Is school out in your area? Did you celebrate Veteran’s Day?
We are also having a day off of school today. It is a professional development day for our teachers so I have my kids plus a friends child home. We baked cookies and the bid kids watched a movie while the baby napped. So far only minimul fighting and arguing from the big kids.

I always choke up when I’m supposed to swallow my fish oil. I know it’s good for me and I should be taking a multivitamin. I’d love to try a new product.
