About Little Earthling Photography

Hello, friends, I am so glad you have found my website! My name is Renee and I have owned my business since 2009 and have been shooting births since 2010. I love shooting lifestyle sessions, kids with special needs, and most of all the miracle of birth. Earlier this year I started partnering with Doulas of Bellingham as their associate photographer.

Capturing Life Naturally {Special Needs Photography}

Posted on November 10, 2014May 16, 2019 by Renee

I am almost finished editing one of my first ever full-out Lifestyle Photography sessions. I am planning to offer these to my clients in the winter months. I don’t own a studio, “capturing life naturally” is my business motto and I love photographing life as it happens so this is a perfect fit for me. I plan…

How to Shoot in Manual

Posted on September 18, 2014February 26, 2018 by Renee

Sweet, sweet Hezekiah. It’s been a while since I have done portraits of him. It seems no sooner do I finish up a photo wall, then my kids grow and change and it seems completely outdated. While I love summer and it is hands down my favorite season, the fall light in our woods is absolutely…

Posted on September 4, 2014September 17, 2018 by Renee

Chris and Sarah are friends of ours who were recently blessed with their third child, Chloe. I have been totally swamped over here with photography stuff, which is a good thing. I just finished one birth gallery, have one more to edit, one Superhero Project shoot and this little guy’s newborn photos. That may not sound like much to some, but with a houseful of kids and no nanny (where are…

Home Birth and a Super Hero to the Rescue

Posted on June 2, 2014June 6, 2019 by Renee

A rather lousy weekend was redeemed by photographing a homebirth Saturday afternoon and doing a Superhero Project session Saturday night. Honestly, photography energizes and inspires me in so many ways. Dealing with insurance and sick kids and preparing two to spend the summer overseas (Judah and Tilly leave FRIDAY!), homeschooing and public schooling. It all…

At the Library

Posted on March 16, 2014April 16, 2018 by Renee

While I’m really good at taking photos of our adventures at the beach, hiking and around the house, I’m not so good at taking my camera out to document our daily life; mainly because I feel self-concious carrying my big ole camera around. But  I have an amazing talented friend, Jennifer, who does take her…

Lurking in the woods of our little slice of the Pacific Northwest are Wild Things. They can be a wee bit shy, and only show themselves to a trusted few. Coloring ranges from yellow to orange. Spots or stripes may be present. The Wild Things consume a variety of foods including: beans and rice, pizza, copious…
